Place-based learning, practical resource connections and collaborative work will be the focus of the 11th annual Confluence Summit at The Cordova Center later this month.
The event, organized by the Alaska Outdoor Alliance, will be held from Sept. 22-24.
“Together we are building a practical working gathering focused on these two tracks,” the Alliance said in announcing the summit.
Entities behind the programs include the Land and Water Conservation Fund, Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership, Recreational Trails Program, and SnowTRAC. The Alaska Municipal League will also lead a discussion about recreation and the federal Rural Health Transformation Program, the Alliance said.
Every attendee will receive a summary of the nine-session Regenerative Outdoor Visioning series before Confluence, so they can arrive ready to build on the ideas already planted.
The Alliance has emphasized the event won’t include lectures and keynote speeches, but rather meaningful conversations and connections where each participant’s voice helps shape ideas into action.
