The Prince William Sound area Pacific cod parallel season for pot and longline hook vessels will open at noon on Sept. 1, state fisheries officials announced on Aug. 25.
This opener is in conjunction with the federal “B” season. The parallel jig season opened on June 16 and remains open. Vessel operators are reminded to obtain a PWS parallel Pacific cod registration prior to fishing in state-waters.
