Cordova Clean Up Day was well attended this year despite the low clouds and intermittent rain.
Over 40 participants and families dropped by the Cordova Jr/Sr High School to pick up yellow collecting bags, gloves and to reserve a pick up route. The Boy Scouts came out in full force to clean problem areas around the Masonic and Ski Hill Road.
With the help of Erin Cole and the United States Forest Service more than an entire dumpster of trash was collected from roadsides and public property on Saturday, May 2.
Organizer Sara Hottinger is appreciative of the USFS for picking up full bags and disposing of them and for NVE donating gift certificates to local businesses for participants to win.
