It’s game on, Cordova! Iceworm season is upon is, and this year’s festival theme is “Ice and Dice,” from Jan. 31 – Feb. 7.

Our website, www.icewormfestival.com, is your home base for all things Iceworm — the ultimate game board for festival info! You can read all about the main Iceworm events, register online, and check out the full schedule, including community- and business-led events linked right from the site.

This year we’re dealing out some new merch – including limited-edition playing cards, brand-new shirts, and more! Be sure to swing by a main event or visit the Iceworm store on Main Street from 4-6 p.m. the week of the festival to grab a fresh beanie or hoodie, plus your pins, stickers, and other collectibles. Can’t make it in person? No worries – there’s merch online too!

Iceworm is a win-win: Great for fundraising and great for business. If you’d like to host a lunch or dinner fundraiser, run games at the Paper Airplane Contest, or play your own creative card, we’d love to add you to the schedule. And here’s the best roll of the dice – it’s free to be on the schedule and free to host events during Iceworm!

Here’s what you need to do to win at Iceworm:

  • Go to our visitor page and encourage friends to visit! Alaska Airlines generously gave us a coupon code for travel – ECMO794
  • Buy treasure chest tickets! Enter to win one of two incredible prizes; two round trip Alaska Airline tickets anywhere they fly, or a historic PO Box made by the Cordova Museum filled with local gift cards!
  • Host a food table or a carnival game at the Paper Airplane Contest on Sunday 2/1 by emailing us at [email protected].
  • Become a sponsor! You can sponsor the festival right online, and your dollars are paramount to funding the $11,400 fireworks show each year.

The Iceworm Festival is powered by volunteers – and we need your help to keep this festival rolling each year. Whether you want to volunteer for a specific event or host your own, have a special skill to play from your hand, or are ready to join the Iceworm crew, we’d love to hear from you.

Iceworm is Cordova’s ultimate community game night, and it takes a full deck of players working together to make it a winning hand. So don’t sit this round out – jump in, roll the dice, and help us level up the fun! Happy Iceworm!
