Early voting is now underway in Cordova for the March 4 General Election, and multiple candidates are running to fill city seats. Below are the contested races.
Mayor

There are also two people running for two Hospital Service Board Member seats – Shelly Kocan and Annie Linville.
In addition to the municipal seats, there are two propositions on the ballot. Proposition 1 asks voters whether or not the city treasurer must be a resident of Cordova, and Proposition 2 asks whether or not the tax assessor must be a city resident.
Early voting is now until March 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Cordova Center. That excludes the President’s Day holiday next Monday, Feb. 17.
The General Election is on Tuesday, March 4. The Cordova Center Community Room A polling site will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
