Two from Cordova join PWSRCAC board

Robert Beedle and David Janka have been appointed to two-year terms to represent two Cordova member entities on the board of the Prince William Sound Regional Citizens’ Advisory Council.

Beedle, a commercial fisherman and owner of Columbia Refrigeration, will represent Cordova District Fishermen United. He had represented the City of Cordova on the board since 2013. Beedle also serves on the Prince William Sound Aquaculture Corp. board and was previously president of Cordova’s Telephone Cooperative board.

Janka, retired owner/operator of Auklet Charters, will represent the City of Cordova on the board.

He brings previous experience with research projects and environmental issues, including work with federal, state, university and non-governmental organizations.  He also has extensive knowledge of the natural history of Prince William Sound and the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
