Man medevaced from fishing vessel

A 35-year-old man aboard the 305-foot fishing vessel Golden Alaska was medevaced by the Coast Guard on Jan. 30, 40 miles north of Cold Bay.

The medevac was requested by Health Force Partners because the man was reported to be suffering from severe leg pain.

Crew aboard a Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, forward deployed to Cold Bay, conducted the medevac and delivered the may to the Cold Bay clinic.  The patient was reported to be in stable condition upon transport.
